How I pay the bills.
Creative consultant, model, press director.
How I got here.
I found fashion at a very young age flipping through my aunt's various magazines and catalogues. Coming from a beach town where everyone dressed in tees, jeans, and flip flops, I always sought to differentiate myself through experimenting with personal style. After running a fashion blog from high school halfway through college, I took the online URL relationships I developed over the years and ended up IRL meeting passionate and talented creatives when I moved to New York. My philosophy being in this industry has always been to be diligent, focused, and simply to be nice—I remember every individual (whether my intern, equal, or superior) that showed me kindness in my career.
How I'm working to make the world a more fair place for women and girls.
Having dealt extensively with a laundry list of menstrual irregularities and fluctuating health, I have always found support from the places I least expected--in pockets of the internet where strangers poured their hearts and feelings out to me over our shared experiences. When I felt too ashamed to speak face to face with friends about my condition, when my female family regarded my condition casually, I found that my online community was there for me. With Period Space, I wanted to create a space where people from all walks of life could share, learn, and just be free of the shame and stigma associated with menstruation.
What makes me proud.
I am proud to be a part of rising representation in media an small business among Asian Americans!
