Viktoria Dahlberg lives by this mantra

Viktoria Dahlberg is the New York-based, Stockholm-born creative behind homeware brand, N5 & Sunny.
Name: Viktoria Dahlberg
Hometown: Stockholm
Current city: New York
My jobs is: creative, fun, stressful, exciting, and spontaneous.
How I got here.
My career in New York started in 2015, as a Senior Photo Editor at world-renowned Gloss Studio, where I worked with clients including Vogue, WSJ, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Nike, and photographers such as Steven Meisel, Mikael Janson and Craig McDean. On the side, I used Instagram to practice my photography, which evolved into what became a highly engaged online following. After building a following, I decided to start my own company, N5 & Sunny, which includes art prints I made myself as well as pillows and tote bags I designed.
Lately, my mantra is, “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” After I came across this quote, it made me become a doer and made me less scared to try new things—even if they don’t always work out how I thought they would. I don’t want to wake up one day and wonder why I didn’t do something when I was young just because I was too scared of not succeeding. Failing doesn’t even have to exist. It’s about learning from experiences and trying things to figure out what works best for you.
Why I surround myself with women.
As I continue working, whenever I need to hire someone, I hire women. This is because, as a female entrepreneur, I also want other women to feel empowered in the workplace.
What makes me proud.
I’m proud of myself for being so brave to try new things and taking risks. I made it to New York, and within the past few years, I’ve set up goals for myself and was able to achieve them through hard work and perseverance. I’m very proud of working with partners that continue to inspire and believe in me, and that give me the confidence to try new and exciting things for 2020!
